Hi, I’m Molly.
Owner of Results Studio, LLC.
My hope is to teach others how exercise or mindful movements enhance health. I want exercise to be like brushing your teeth. It's something you do daily no matter your age or size. Exercise is medicine.
At Results, we do exercises that restore function, balance, and core strength. Many of the exercises are based on pilates, yoga, and post rehab principles.
Most people are generally physically active. Either their jobs are physically demanding, or they do chores around the house. They walk or run, perhaps even lift weights, but often with those movements people experience aches and pains. Often the aches and pains are due to muscle imbalances and repetitive work.
Pilates is one of many mindful methods used to correct muscle imbalances. As the muscles learn how to support the spine and other bone structures, less wear and tear is experienced.
The picture below is my family. They are my “why” I exercise. It has become evident to me that as we age, our health and mobility either creates resiliency or fragility. Health is wealth!
Pilates is for Everyone
We all have different careers and demands that require repetitive movements.
Most of our days are spent doing repetitive movements that over time, can stress out our backs, knees, hips, shoulders, neck, etc.
Jobs like hanging drywall, tending to kids, transferring patients, driving, cleaning, DIY projects, etc.
Just think of the times you have complained about your neck or back after sitting all day at work or lifting heavy things or standing for long hours.
It might surprise you to know that pilates has helped people of all backgrounds from those in the Trades Industry to those that do more sedentary work at a desk.
Our bodies were meant to extend, flex, side bend, cross over the mid-line, and rotate, and most of our jobs don't allow the body to move in those ways.
Because our jobs demand us to stay in the same position using the same muscle groups day in and day out, other muscle groups get neglected, and why we often experience more pain, stiffness, or instability.
Restorative work like pilates can help repair and restore the muscles and connective tissues, to work interdependently, allowing the body to be agile and aligned.
